On May 1st, my pal Denise and I were in a neat little rally up in the north part of WA state.
We pulled over once to make sure we had our bearings correct, and ran into some curious folks...
We ended up at a lovely house, that used to be a b&b. The new owners are planning a lot of work on the grounds, but I thought it was beautiful even now!
I loved the kitchen - it was actually quite roomy, we had about 20 people in there at one time and everyone could still move around.
The dining room was lovely and bright, even in a gray day.
I really liked the original stained glass in the front door(s).
The owners had a few antique record players that were playing 1920's music (this was a "bootlegger's run" rally, we were dressed in 1920-ish outfits).
From the upstairs we could admire some of the antique cars that were driven in the rally - this is a *wooden* car!
I loved the turret room - painted pink, and perfect for one lucky person to sit and dream...
More of the antique cars, yum!
A view of the outside of the house - turret room upstairs, dining room downstairs with bow window.
A close-up of the wooden Ford.
What a great back porch - the wisteria was truly amazing, not just because it was everywhere, but because it hadn't ripped the porch off the house yet!
A lovely vignette....
A view out over the fields, to the foothills of the Cascades. It felt like standing on the shore of an ocean, as the grass moved in the wind - waves, noise, vast expanse..
Another shot of the house, from the 'shore'.
More of the wisteria. There were hummingbirds everywhere!
A view up the driveway. I loved this approach. Pictures simply cannot do it justice.
And here's my little cutie car, dressed up for racing!
