I slipped out of the house this morning, to enjoy the last of our good weather before the first of the Fall storms rolls in.
And what better to entice me out of the house but CHOCOLATE! The NorthWest Chocolate Festival is this weekend at Seattle Center.
Of course, local chocolate company Theo chocolates was there.
One of my favorites was "Divine" chocolate company.
I was on a strict buying budget, and I stayed under my target $ amount, huzzah. My total haul: Theo Vanilla, Theo Nib Brittle, Diving spiced cookies, Divine hazelnut, Forte Dark Chocolate Brute, Forte White Chocolate Cloud, and two little Made'casse chocolates.
Of course, if you go to the Seattle Center, the Space Needle is always watching you...
I like the little futuristic touches at Seattle Center, the theme continues from the 1962 World's Fair.
It was a lovely fall afternoon. Wet at times, but I timed it right - when I was outside, it wasn't sprinkling!
Even waiting for the bus was beautiful.
Now it's dar, windy, and the rain is rattling on the living room window. A big blustery storm is headed our way, I've strapped down the trash/recycling bins, removed anything loose from the yard, and have bottled water and lots of blankets in case the power goes off. Guilt-free staying-in-bed time, no power = no light = can't work or read, guess i have to nap!
The rest of this weekend is devoted to sewing, have to finish up an angel package for a craft swap, finish two potholders and an ornament for one swap and three ornaments for another swap. Whew!
