Some of the recent crafting going on in this household ...
For a Cuff Swap, I had a lovely partner who liked steampunk, black, and purple. So I made a black and purple gears felt cuff, lined with a purple cutton fabric.
(More after the jump)
In return, she sent me this lovely flower cuff - it's very much like the azaleas and other flowering bushes around here.
Then there was some embroidery going on - a "color spectrum" Hoop swap. Your partner picked one color you liked, and could do shades of that color - but only that color! I received this lovely little hoop from my partner. She knew I liked blue, and I liked birds, music, books, water, clouds. So she packed it all into one little hoop!
She got a lot of different stitches into this little hoop, too!
I'm still working on my hoop for her in return, I have one week left to stitch!
Then there was another round of the One Tiny Stuffie (stuffed animal) swap ...
Yes, craft in the kitchen ...
My partner sent me A BLENDER! Ah ha ha ha ha. I've always said on my questionnaires that my partner can be as wacky as they want to be, they could even make a smiling blender. SO SHE DID!
It's adorable!
I think the dark green button is frappe'. :)
A little button on top of the lid, just like the lid on my big blender.
And look - there's something inside of it ...
She sent along a bodyguard for the blender ...
A little crab! And note that iside the blender are little felt blades!
And then get this. Real blenders have the removeable top part, right? Look! She made this one removable too!
Hee!
Then there was this envelope ... she said it was for in case even the crab wasn't protection enough in the mail ...
A disguise for my blender! Ah ha ha ha ha ha!
What a terrific swap. WOO!
She likes the Loch Ness Monster so I sent her a little Nessie with a lily pad garland. Here Nessie investigates the apple tree in my yard ...
And climbs the birch tree ...
And sniffs around the suet feeder.
